A river runs through it.
Originating high up in Yellowstone National Park, the Gallatin river is classically known as the setting for the movie “A River Runs Through It”. The Gallatin flows through an incredibly scenic canyon on its way north to the Gallatin Valley, home to Bozeman, Gallatin Gateway and Belgrade, Montana. The Gallatin supports numbers of rainbow and brown trout, as well as the Westslope Cutthroat trout and the ocassional Arctic Grayling.
